Prompt recognition and control of bleeding, along with fluid resuscitation and blood transfusion, are critical surgical priorities to restore hemodynamic stability. Unlike cardiogenic or neurogenic shock, hypovolemic shock directly relates to the volume deficit caused by trauma.
