Epistaxis most commonly originates from Little's area, located on the anterior-inferior part of the nasal septum. This area contains the Kiesselbach plexus, a rich anastomosis of anterior ethmoidal, sphenopalatine, superior labial, and greater palatine arteries. Due to its superficial vascular network and frequent exposure to trauma or dryness, it is the primary site for anterior nosebleeds. Surgical cauterization or nasal packing targeting Little's area is often effective in controlling most epistaxis cases. Recognizing this site is crucial for prompt and effective management.
