The anterior palatal strap should be placed as far anterior as possible to maximize support and stability. Positioning it anteriorly ensures it engages the broad, firm palatal bone and avoids the movable soft palate or posterior rugae area which are less stable. This placement distributes occlusal forces evenly and improves retention of the prosthesis. Additionally, placing the strap anteriorly minimizes interference with speech and patient comfort. Thus, the design enhances both function and patient adaptation.
