Degree তিন প্রকার । যথা-
a.positive degree.
b.comparative degree.
c. superlative degree.
এখানে প্রধানত দিয়ে মুলত confusion সৃষ্টি করা হয়েছে।
-subject যদি third person singular number হয় তখন এর সাথে has বসবে 
-আর বাকি সবার সাথে have বসবে।যেমন-
 I/we/you / they/ the boys/the girls /the birds ইত্যাদি এগুলির সাথে have বসে।
ল্যাটিন শব্দ Tempus থেকে Tense শব্দের উৎপত্তি। Tempus শব্দের অর্থ সময়। অতএব, Tense শব্দের অর্থ সময় বা কাল।
