You can now buy 5 more mangoes with Tk. 75 due to reduction in price by 20 percent. Calculate the current price of one dozen of Mangoes.

Solution:

After 20% reduction, the cost will be = 75 - 75 \( \times \) 20% = 75 - 75 \( \times \frac{1}{5}\) = 60

 Price difference = 75 - 60 = 15

Cost of 5 mangoes = 15 Tk.

 Cost of 12 mangoes = \(\frac{{15 \times 12}}{5}\) Tk. = 36 Tk.
