ধরি ,
নৌকার বেগ x kmph 24/4 =6 কি মি
এবং প্রতিকূলে প্রতি ঘণ্টায় গতিবেগ 24/6 =4 কি মি
প্রশ্নমতে , x+y=6........(i)
x-y =4...............(ii)

2x =10
∴ x =5
x এর মান (i) নং সমীকরণে বসিয়ে পাই
5+y=6
বা,y=6-5 =1
