প্রশ্নে বলা হচ্ছে যে, x এবং y ধনাত্মক পূর্ণ সংখ্যা । x কে y দ্বারা ভাগ করলে ভাগশেষ থাকবে \(5.\frac{x}{y} = 5.20\) হলে x = ?
আমরা জানি, ভাগফল = ( ভাজ্য - ভাগশেষ ) \( \div \) ভাজক
=> \(5 = \frac{{x - 5}}{y}\) এখানে, ভাজ্য = x; ভাজক = y এবং ভাগশেষ = 5
\(\frac{{x - 5}}{y} = 5\) ......... (1)
আবার দেয়া আছে, \(\frac{x}{y} = 5.20\) ............... (2)
সমীকরণ (2) হতে (1) নং বিয়োগ করি,
\(\frac{x}{y} - \frac{{x - 5}}{y} = 5.2 - 5\) => \(\frac{{x - x + 5}}{y} = 0.2\)
=> \(\frac{5}{y} = 0.2\) => y = \(\frac{5}{{0.2}} = 25\)
y = 25
অতএব, ভাজ্য = ভাজক \( \times \) ভাগফল
x = 25 \( \times \) 5.2 = 130
