v1 : v2 : v3 = 2 : 3 : 4
ধরি, d দূরত্ব অতিক্রম করতে এদের যথাক্রমে t1 , t2 ও t3 সময় লাগে ।
সময় = দূরত্ব/বেগ
∴ t1 : t2 : t3 = (d/v1) : (d/v2) : (d/v3)
= (1/v) : (1/v2) : (1/v3) = 1/2 : 1/3 : 1/4
