The profit earned by selling an article for Tk 900 is double the loss incurred when the same article is sold for Tk 450. At what price should the article be sold to make 25% profit?
সমাধান
সঠিক উত্তর: Option A
Let,
The cost price be Tk. x.
ATQ,
900 - x = 2(x - 450)
⇒ 900 - x = 2x - 900
⇒ 2x + x = 900 + 900
⇒ 3x = 1800
⇒ x = 1800/3
∴ x = 600
∴ Cost price = Tk. 600,
Profit = 25%
∴ The selling price of the article = Tk. (600 × 125)/100
= Tk. 750
