A person travels a distance of 30 km at a speed of 60 km/hr and then comes back at twice the speed. How many minutes did he take in total?

A    120

B    145

C    45

D    30

Solution

Correct Answer: Option C

The person travels, 60 km in 60 minutes

30 km in 60*30/60 minutes

                     = 30 minutes

On the way back, the person travels,

60 km in 30 minutes

30 km in 30*30/60 minutes

            = 15 minutes

Total time = 30 + 15 minutes = 45 minutes
