A bicycle has two wheels (one large and one small) of 120cm and 40cm in diameters. When the large wheel makes 10 revolutions, how many revolutions does the small wheel make in that time?

A    15

B    20

C    30

D    40

Solution

Correct Answer: Option C

The circumferance of the larger wheel is = 2*3.1416*120

                                                         = 753.984 cm

Distance the larger wheel must travel to produce 10 revolution

= 753.984*10

= 7539.84 cm

Now,

The circumferance of the smaller wheel is = 2*3.1416*40

                                                            =  251.328
