A    7:17

B    1:3

C    3:5

D    9:16

Solution

Correct Answer: Option A

Given two equal glasses are respectively one third =1/3 and one fourth full of milk=1/4 total milk in both glass=1/3+1/4=7/12 water in 1st glass=1-1/3=2/3 water in 2nd glass=1-1/4=3/4 total water=2/3+3/4=17/12 then ratio of milk and water =(7/12)/(17/12) =>ratio of milk and water =7:17
