Let their ages 10 years ago is x, 2x and 3x years.  10 + 2x + 10 + 3x + 10 = 90 hence x= 10  B’s present age = (2x + 10) =30 years

Let the salaries of A, B, C be x, 2x and 3x respectively. Then,2x + 3x = 6000  => x = 1200. A's salary = Rs. 1200, B's salary = Rs. 2400, and Cs salary Rs. 3600.  Excess of C's salary over A's=[ (2400 /1200) x 100] = 200%.

=>A/B=100/75=4/3.

Hence, the required ratio = 4:3

 
 

total capacity = (1.3X8)  =10.4 

so, 0.8 ltr jug required = 10.4/.8 =13

 
 

Let the number be x and on dividing x by 5, we get k as quotient and 3 as remainder.

    x = 5k + 3

    x2 = (5k + 3)2

   = (25k2 + 30k + 9)

   = 5(5k2 + 6k + 1) + 4

On dividing x2 by 5, we get 4 as remainder
