Juice : Water = 7 : 5
Juice = 7x and water = 5x (say)
15 liters of water is added to it.
Now juice= 7x and water = 5x+15
Hence, 7x : (5x+15) = 7 : 8
⇒ \(\frac{{7x}}{{5x + 15}} = \frac{7}{8}\)
⇒ 56x = 35x + 105
⇒ 21x = 105
⇒ x = 5
Total quantity of water in the new mixture = 5x+15
= 5 × 5 + 15 = 40 liters.
