Ratio of weight of A and B is 7/2 If the weight of A were 2 kg less, the ratio would have been 7/6. What is the present weight of ‘A’?

From question,
\(\Rightarrow {A \over B} = {7 \over 2}\) ____________(1)
\(\Rightarrow {{A - 2} \over B} = {7 \over 6}\)
6A – 12 = 7B ____________(2)
Substitute from (1)
\(\Rightarrow 6A-12 = 7 \times {{2A} \over 7}\)
⇒ (6-2) A = 12
⇒ 4A = 12
⇒ A = 3
