Correct Answer: Option B
Let the 5 consecutive even numbers of set A = a, a+2, a+4, a+6, a+8
∴ a + a+2 + a+4 + a+6 + a+8 = 400 (given)
⇒ 5a + 20 = 400
⇒ 5a = 380
⇒ a = 76 ---(1)
Let the 4 consecutive numbers of Set B = b, b+1, b+2, b+3
Now, b = (3a/4) – 5 (given)
⇒ b = {76 × (3/4)} – 5 (from 1)
⇒ b = 57 – 5
⇒ b = 52
∴ the 4 numbers of set B = 52, 53, 54, 55.
Thus, the sum of the 4 numbers of set B is 214
