লব x, হর y
শর্তমতে,
(x +1)/y = 1
⇒ x + 1 = y ................(1)
আবার,
x/(y + 1) = 1/2
⇒ 2x = y + 1
⇒ 2x - 1 = y ..................(2)
(1) ও (2) হতে পাই,
2x - 1 = x + 1
⇒ x = 2
x এর মান (1) নং এ বসিয়ে পাই,
2 + 1 = y
⇒ y = 3
∴ ভগ্নাংশটি 2/3
