Here,
Length of the room = 15.17 m = 1517 cm
Breadth of the room = 9.02 m = 902 cm
Now, the floor is to be paved with equal sized square tiles.
To find the size largest possible tile with which the floor can be paved, we have to find the HCF of 1517 and 902.
∴ Length of largest tile = (H.C.F. of 1517 and 902)
1517 = 37 × 41
902 = 2 × 11 × 41
∴ HCF of 1517 and 902 = 41
∴ Length of largest tile = 41 cm = 0.41 m
