Solution: Let 1 women's and 1 man 1 days work is x and y then

2x + 4y = 1/4 ......... (1)

2x + 2y = 1/6 .........(2)

(1) - (2) , 2y = 1/12 ...... (3)

Putting the value 2y = 1/12 in equation (2) we get

2x = 1/6 - 1/12 => 2x =1/12 x = 1/24

So, one day's work of a man is = 1/24

There fore, 1 man can do the work in 24 days.
