Let, Distance = x
Given Condition - Time taken in upstream _ Time taken downstream = Total time
=> x/u-v + x/u+v = 3
=> x/9-3 + x/9+3 = 3 [ u=9km/hr, v=3km/hr ]
=> x/6 + x/12 =3 => 2x+x/12 = 3 => 3x/12 = 3 => x/4 = 3
∴ x = 12 km
