Correct Answer: Option A
As the bicycle covers 125 m in 5 seconds
∴ Speed of the bicycle = 125/5 = 25 m/s
As the speed of a man is 4/5th the speed of a bicycle
∴ Speed of man = (4/5) × 25 = 20 m/s
Hence Time taken by the man to cover 40 m = 40/20 = 2 second
