Correct Answer: Option C
The pattern of given series is:
→ 3,
→ 5 = 3 × 1 + 2
→ 12 = 5 × 2 + 2
→ 38 = 12 × 3 + 2
→ 154 = 38 × 4 + 2
→ 914 ≠ 154 × 5 + 2 = 772
→ 4634 = 772 × 6 + 2
∴ 914 is the wrong number in the series and the correct number will be 772
Based on the above pattern we can create the following series
→ 914,
→ 916 = 914 × 1 + 2
→ 1834 = 916 × 2 + 2
Hence, third number in the new series is 1834
