Length, breadth and height of a room are 10 m, 30 m, and 20 m respectively. Find the volume of the room if each side is increased by 10 %.

A 6946 m3

B 6600 m3

C 7986 m3

D 8960 m3

E None of these

Solution

Correct Answer: Option C

Volume of a cuboid = length × breadth × height

After increment in the length of the sides, new sides of the room would be 11 m, 33 m and 22m respectively.

∴ New volume of the room = length × breadth × height

= 11 × 33 × 22 =7986 m3
