⇒ ইংরেজি ব্যাকরণের একটি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নিয়ম হলো, Preposition (যেমন: of, in, on, at, for, by, with, without ইত্যাদি)-এর ঠিক পরেই যদি কোনো মূল Verb বসে, তবে সেই Verb-এর সাথে অবশ্যই ‘ing’ যুক্ত করতে হয়।
⇒ প্রশ্নে প্রদত্ত বাক্যে ‘fond of’ একটি Phrase, যার অর্থ কোনো কিছুর প্রতি আসক্ত বা পছন্দ করা। এখানে ‘of’ শব্দটি একটি Preposition।
⇒ যেহেতু ‘of’ আছে, তাই এর পরের শব্দটি (Listen) সাধারণ অবস্থায় বসবে না। নিয়ম অনুযায়ী এর সাথে ‘ing’ যুক্ত হয়ে Gerund ফর্মে বসবে।
⇒ সুতরাং, (Listen + ing) = listening হলো সঠিক উত্তর। বাক্যটির অর্থ: সে গান শুনতে পছন্দ করে।
