¼ of Ram’s money is equal to 1/6 of Shyam’s money. If both together have Tk. 600, The difference between their amounts is-

A    50

B    120

C    240

D    360

Solution

Correct Answer: Option B

Let's assume Ram has n & Shyam has y amount of money. So

n/4=y/6

n=4y/6

and from the 2nd statement, we have n+y=600

Putting the value from first

4y/6+y=600

10y/6=600

y=360

& n= 600–360=240.

So the difference in their amount is 360–240=120
